Terroir

Situé à l’ouest de Carcassonne entre Cabardès et Malepère, le domaine de Villarzens est implanté sur une terre profonde argilo limono sableuse. Les parcelles toutes situées autour du domaine sont exposées plein sud en bas de coteau, et profitent d’un ensoleillement maximum. La situation géographique de Villarzens permet de bénéficier de l’influence méditerranéenne tempérée par les flux atlantiques.

Caractéristiques et conduite

Vins de pays d’oc, cépages merlot et chardonnay, les vignes ont été plantées il y a 25 ans. Les terres sont travaillées sans apport d’engrais ni desherbant. Un effeuillage manuel et une récolte triée sur pied précèdent une vendange mécanisée soignée. Les vins de Villarzens sont travaillés en mono parcelle avec des rendements limités.

L’abus d’alcool est dangereux, à consommer avec modération.

Located in the West of Carcassonne between « Cabardes » and « Malepere », « Le Domaine de Villarzens » is implant on an argilo sandy limono deep ground. Vineyards all situated around the property are exposed full South, taking advantage of a maximum period of sunshine. The Villarzens geographic position have the advantage of Mediterranean influence, temperate by Atlantic streams.

Characteristics and control of vine

« Vin de pays d’Oc » , cépages merlot and chardonnay, vineyards was planted25 years ago. Lands are elabored without contribution of chemical fertilizer and weedkiller. We do a manual stripping and a collect sorted on foot of vine before a tidy mechanized grape harvest. « Les vins deVillarzens are worked on mono plot with restrited produce.
